Over five days, you will be taught by three different experts:
1) He was formerly Executive Director, Head of Arbitrage and Director, Head of Equity and Commodity Derivatives at Mitsubishi Finance Intl (now Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi) and held formerly Head of Equity Derivative Trading at Nomura International and Senior Equity Derivatives Trader at Paribas Capital Markets. In addition to his extensive market practitioner experience, he has been a senior financial regulator including being Head of Traded Risk at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Assistant Director, Head of Market Risk at the Securities and Futures Authority (SFA). This has provided him with a unique insight in to the control, regulation and modelling of financial risk across the whole spectrum of financial institutions globally.
2) He is currently Professor of Banking and Financial Regulation in Loughborough University and has published nine books in the areas of money, banking and financial regulation and has acted as Managing Editor for another two books. He has also contributed over 100 articles to academic and professional journals and chapters to a further 13 books and acted as a consultant to a number of private and public sector organisations, including the central banks of Barbados, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Pakistan and the People's Republic of China.
3) His career spans both the academic and the business world. From 1991 to 1993 he was Hang Seng Bank Professor of Finance at the London Guildhall University and before that was Director of Economics for the Chase Manhattan Bank’s Europe, Africa and Middle East Area Headquarters. Earlier positions include Head of Economics and Business at Sheffield Hallam University, Principal in the UK Government Economic Service and Lecturer at the University of Reading. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Faculty of Finance, of the Editorial Boards of Treasury Today and of Balance Sheet and is a consultant to KPMG Peat Marwick’s London Derivatives group.
